Every April 9th, Araw ng Kagitingan, also known as the Day of Valor, is observed as a testament to the unwavering courage and patriotism that defined a nation in the face of adversity and honors the bravery and sacrifices made by Filipino soldiers during World War II.




We pay tribute to the bravery of those who gave their lives defending our freedom from foreign invaders on this day. Filipino soldiers showed unmatched tenacity and will, fighting alongside allies in the struggle for freedom from the Bataan Death March to the battles of Corregidor and beyond. Their selfless deeds, frequently performed in the most trying circumstances, serve as a reminder of the Filipino people's unwavering spirit. Araw ng Kagitingan is a call to action as well as a day of remembrance. It exhorts us to face the difficulties of our day with the bravery and selflessness of our ancestors. We too must be steadfast in the defense of our rights and liberties, just as they did in the face of insurmountable obstacles, displaying courage and perseverance.


Let us honor the warriors of the past and renew our dedication to preserving the ideals they battled for as we celebrate Araw ng Kagitingan. Let's work to build a country based on the values of justice, equality, and freedom in order to be deserving heirs to their legacy.
